When I Was Too Afraid

Ever since I was a little kid, I’ve always had these crazy ideas and really big dreams for “the future”, both travel and and non-travel related. However, up until recently I was always too afraid to step outside my comfort zone and truly pursue them.

Stepping Out of My Comfort Zone

I’m not really sure what was the catalyst was but somehow I changed that. I guess one day I was just tired of my life. I realized I wasn’t happy and I just couldn’t stand it anymore — something needed to change.

So I changed my way of thinking and doing things. It was, and still is, quite a gradual process. I am consciously working to incorporate new activities outside my comfort zone into my daily routine. What I can say is that it’s all been so worth it and I’m so much happier now!

My Future Travel Plans

I’m currently in my final year of university. After I graduate, I’m planning on backpacking Europe with my best friend for 2-3 months. (Edit: Unfortunately, backpacking together isn’t happening. I’m going to be travelling solo instead.) After that, I’m going to take a gap year to do some travelling. I’m still deciding between doing a working holiday visa in Australia or teaching English somewhere in southeast Asia (I’m leaning towards Vietnam if I choose teaching English).

If you want to read more about me and my future travel plans, you can check out my first post.

If you want to read more about my travel and personal goals for 2016, you can check out this post.

I hope this blog can inspire you to step outside your comfort zone and do the things you truly love to do too!
