Introductions are in order!

Having spent months on end perusing countless travel blogs tirelessly, I’ve decided it’s finally time to start my own! This first blog post shall serve as a get to know me post for a bit of background, as well as a little preview of what’s to come for this blog....

Hi! My name is Cynthia and I love travelling and going on adventures!

Cynthia of Every Footstep an Adventure

Ever since I was a little kid, I’ve always had these crazy ideas and really big dreams for “the future” — both travel and and non-travel related. However, up until recently I was always too afraid to step outside my comfort zone and truly pursue them.

I’m not really sure what was the catalyst was, but somehow I changed that. I guess one day I was just tired of my life. I wasn’t happy and I just couldn’t stand it anymore. Something needed to change. So I changed my way of thinking and doing things. It was, and still is, quite a gradual process. I am consciously working to incorporate new activities outside my comfort zone into my daily routine. What I can say is that it’s all been so worth it and I’m so much happier now!

I’m currently in my final year of university. After I graduate, I’m planning on backpacking Europe with my best friend for 2-3 months. (Edit: Unfortunately, backpacking together isn't happening. I'm going to be travelling solo instead.) After that, I’m going to take a gap year to do some travelling. I’m still deciding between doing a working holiday visa in Australia or teaching English somewhere in southeast Asia (I’m leaning towards Vietnam if I choose teaching English). If you want to read more about my future travel plans and about me, you can check out my first post here.

I hope this blog can inspire you to go outside your comfort zone and do the things you truly love to do too!
